Attach the Brick or Stone for the Fireplace Wall Slice a one-inch strip of cardboard and band the perimeter on the fireplace insert with it to guard the insert. Create a dry layout with the stone veneer on the floor beside the fireplace wall. Slice as much of the stone veneer as is possible beforehand. Use a soaked tile noticed to chop the veneer.
